How to Play
Team Up
Players sit in two pairs. You and your partner across the table work together to win as many tricks as possible in a 52-card deck round.
Follow Suit
You must follow the lead suit if possible. If not, you can play any card, including a Trump (the suit of the last card dealt).
The "Odd Trick"
Each trick won over 6 tricks (the "Book") earns your team 1 point. The first team to reach the target score wins the entire game.
Whist Strategy
The Lead Rule
Usually, lead with your longest and strongest suit. This helps you "set up" smaller cards in that suit to become winners later.
Watch Your Partner
Notice what cards your partner plays. If they win a trick with a high card, try not to waste your own high cards on that same round.
Memory is Key
Try to remember which high cards (Aces and Kings) have already been played. Knowing if the Queen of Hearts is the highest remaining card is a game-changer.
