How to Play

1

The Ten-Column Deal

30 cards are dealt into ten tableau columns (3 cards each). Only the top card of each column is face-up, creating more initial opportunities than standard solitaire.

2

Alternating Color Sequences

Build your columns downward in alternating colors (e.g., place a Red 6 on a Black 7). You can move single cards or entire ordered sequences.

3

Build the Foundations

Move Aces to the four foundation spots as they appear. Build these up by suit from Ace to King to win the game.

4

Manage the Stock

Draw from the stock pile one card at a time. In Westcliff, there is usually no re-deal, so use every drawn card wisely to clear your columns!

Common Questions

How is Westcliff different from Klondike?
Westcliff uses 10 columns instead of 7, and allows any card (not just Kings) to fill an empty tableau space, making it much more likely to be solved.

Can I re-deal the deck?
Standard Westcliff rules allow for one pass through the stock. Because of the 10-column layout, you often don't need a second pass to win.
