How to Play

1

The Complex Setup

13 cards are dealt into a "Reserve" pile (only the top card is visible). One card is dealt to the first foundation to set the base rank. Five tableau columns are then dealt with one card each.

2

8 Foundations

All foundations must start with the base rank set in Step 1. Build up by suit, wrapping from King to Ace (e.g., if base is 3, sequence is 3-4...K-A-2). You must complete two full sets per suit.

3

Tableau Sequence

Build tableau columns down in alternating colors (e.g., Red 7 on Black 8). You can move entire sequences of cards between columns if they follow this pattern.

4

Reserve & Stock

Empty tableau spaces are automatically filled by the top card of the Reserve. Once the Reserve is empty, you can fill spaces with any card. Deal cards from the stock three at a time.

Expert Insights

Is it harder than regular Canfield?
Yes. While the two-deck system provides more foundation targets, the increased volume of cards requires much more foresight and sequence management.

Stock Tip:
You deal cards three at a time. Pay attention to the cards *behind* the top card of the waste pile—you may need to play the top card specifically to reach a vital card underneath.
