Monte Carlo Solitaire

Monte Carlo is an addictive, fast-paced solitaire game that departs from traditional building. Instead of sequences, you hunt for matching pairs in a 5x5 grid. It’s a game of pattern recognition and spatial strategy where the board constantly "collapses" to reveal new possibilities.

How to Play

1

The Grid Layout

25 cards are dealt face-up into a 5x5 grid. The remaining cards stay in the stock pile. Everything is visible, making it a game of quick observation.

2

Pairing Up

Match two cards of the same rank (e.g., two Queens or two 7s) that are adjacent horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Once matched, they are removed from the board.

3

The Consolidation

When no more pairs can be made, click the "Consolidate" or "Redeal" button. Remaining cards shift left and up to fill the gaps, and new cards are dealt from the stock to refill the 5x5 grid.

4

Winning the Game

The goal is to clear the entire deck by matching all pairs. The game ends when the stock is empty and no more pairs can be made in the remaining grid.

Quick Facts

Is it purely luck?
While the deal involves luck, the order in which you remove pairs determines how the remaining cards shift, adding a significant layer of strategy.
