How to Play

1

The Harp Layout

Played with two decks (104 cards). Ten tableau columns are dealt in an overlapping style. Eight foundations await your Aces to build up the final suits.

2

Building Downward

Build tableau sequences in descending order and alternating colors (e.g., a Red 9 on a Black 10). Unlike Klondike, you can move full sequences or single cards.

3

The Foundation Goal

The objective is to build eight foundation piles from Ace to King by suit. With two decks, you must manage multiple cards of the same value efficiently.

4

Stock and Re-Deals

When you are stuck, draw from the stock pile. Milligan Harp typically allows for a limited number of re-deals, providing a second chance to solve the puzzle.

Common Questions

How is Milligan Harp different from Klondike?
Milligan Harp uses two decks and ten tableau columns instead of seven. It is significantly more challenging and requires a deeper level of planning.

Can I move any sequence?
Yes, you can move any fully ordered sequence (descending, alternating colors). This flexibility is key to uncovering the many hidden cards in the two-deck deal.
