How to Play

1

The Garden Layout

36 cards are dealt face-up into 6 columns (the "Garden"). Because all cards are visible, you can plan your entire strategy from the first move.

2

The Bouquet (Reserve)

The remaining 16 cards are held in a reserve called the "Bouquet." Any card in the bouquet is available to be played to the garden or foundations at any time.

3

Building Down

In the garden columns, you build down regardless of suit or color (e.g., any 6 can be placed on any 7). Only the top card of each column is playable.

4

Harvesting to Foundations

Move cards to the 4 foundations by suit, starting with Ace and ending with King. Use any card from the bouquet to help bridge gaps!

Common Questions

Is Flower Garden easier than FreeCell?
It offers more flexibility because you can build regardless of suit, but the limited number of columns (6) makes it easy to create deep, unmanageable stacks if you aren't careful.

Can I move a sequence of cards?
No. In the standard rules of Flower Garden, you can only move one card at a time. This makes empty columns and your bouquet slots extremely important.
