How to Play

1

The Naval Setup

Using two decks (104 cards), a 13-card "Reserve" is dealt (only the top card is visible). The first card moved to the foundations sets the "base rank" for all 8 foundations.

2

Eight Foundations

Build up foundations by suit. If your base rank is a 5, build 5, 6, 7... up to King, then wrap around to Ace, 2, 3, and 4. You must complete two full sets for each suit.

3

Tableau Sequence

Build tableau columns down in alternating colors (e.g., a Black 7 on a Red 8). You can move single cards or complete sequences between columns to reveal hidden cards.

4

Stock & Reserve Management

Cards from the stock are dealt to the waste pile. Empty tableau spaces must be filled by the top card of the Reserve until it is empty. Afterward, you may use any card to fill a space.

Strategic Insights

Is it similar to Canfield?
Yes, it shares the 13-card reserve mechanic with Canfield, but the double-deck layout and 8 foundations make it a significantly larger and more strategic challenge.

Top Tip:
Empty spaces are a rare luxury until the reserve is gone. Use them sparingly and only to move cards that directly unblock a foundation or a buried reserve card.
