How to Play

1

The Setup

Cards are dealt into six tableau columns. In Blind Alleys, only the top card of each column is face up, creating the "Alleys" you must navigate.

2

Build in Alternating Colors

Move cards within the tableau by placing them in descending order and alternating colors (e.g., a Red 7 on a Black 8).

3

Fill the Foundations

Move Aces to the four foundation spots as soon as they appear. Build these up by suit from Ace to King to win the game.

4

Draw from the Stock

When you run out of moves in the tableau, draw from the stock pile. In this version, you can usually go through the deck multiple times, so plan ahead!

Common Questions

How does this differ from Klondike?
Blind Alleys uses a different tableau layout (usually 6 columns with 3 cards each) and often allows for more deck re-deals, making it more winnable but requiring sharper logic.

Can I move groups of cards?
Yes, you can move any face-up sequence of cards as a single unit, provided they follow the descending order and alternating color rule.
