How to Play

1

Observe the Numbers

Each circle represents an "Island" with a number inside. This number indicates exactly how many bridges must be connected to that island.

2

Build the Connections

Click and drag between islands to build bridges. You can have a maximum of two bridges between any two islands.

3

Follow the Rules

Bridges cannot cross each other, must be straight (horizontal or vertical), and must connect distinct islands.

4

Complete the Network

The puzzle is solved when all islands have the correct number of bridges and they all form a single interconnected network.

Common Questions

What is Hashiwokakero?
It is a type of logic puzzle published by Nikoli. In English, it is often called "Bridges" or "Hashi." It tests your ability to plan networks based on local constraints.

Can bridges be diagonal?
No. Bridges must be strictly horizontal or vertical. This constraint is key to finding the correct path in more difficult levels.
