How to Play

1

Pick Your Slot

Choose one of the seven columns and click to drop your disc. Gravity pulls it down to the lowest available space.

2

Block Your Rival

Keep a close eye on your opponent! If they get three in a row, you must drop your disc to block their fourth spot immediately.

3

Connect Four

Be the first to align 4 discs of your color—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—to claim victory!

Pro Strategies

Control the Center

Try to place your first discs in the middle column. Controlling the center gives you the most opportunities to form lines in every direction.

Think Ahead

Look at the board and predict where the next discs will fall. Don't just react; plan a "trap" where you have two ways to win simultaneously.

The Vertical Trap

Watch out for columns that are nearly full. Sometimes, dropping a disc can "set up" your opponent for a winning move on the next turn. Avoid helping them!

Common Questions

Can I play against a friend?
Yes! 4 In Line supports local two-player mode so you can challenge someone sitting right next to you.

Is there an unbeatable strategy?
The game is "solved," meaning the first player can always win with perfect play. However, in practice, it’s a thrilling battle of wits and focus!
